About

Community Murals is a CIC founded by Andrew Bolton and Lisa Tann. Our mission is to include all sectors of society in creating art for their community and reclaiming public spaces.

We believe that making art should be fun and confidence boosting for everyone and that can result in more cohesive communities and the regeneration of public space.

We always work hard to ensure that our workshops are accessible to everyone, whatever their educational or physical ability, and whatever level of artistic confidence.

Restoration

Community Murals has restored a number of mosaic murals around the country. Communities can't really be involved directly in this, but we never say never!

Inclusivity

We have worked with people of all ages from all kinds of backgrounds, disabled and non-disabled. We always adapt our methods to include everyone.

Inclusivity

We are proud of our reputation for excellence in working with people facing all kinds of disadvantage, involving them fully in design and execution of our work. We go out of our way to make workspaces and processes accessible to whoever wants to be involved and have worked one to one with people who couldn’t leave their homes.

Community Murals successfully restored the Japanware mosaic mural in Pontypool, which had been badly damaged by weather, particularly water ingress.
We are now working on restoring another mosaic mural in Abertillery and we have the necessary skills and facilities for more.
Please contact us to discuss possibilities.
